Bernard Arnault Expands LVMH Empire with Strategic Succession Plan Bernard Arnault Expands LVMH Empire with Strategic Succession Plan

French industrialist Bernard Arnault owns the global luxury goods conglomerate LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which includes such labels as Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Tiffany & Co., Sephora, and Moët & Chandon, among many others. In his professional capacity as the chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of the company, Arnault has been able to build one of the world’s largest business conglomerates. His successful work has begun from buying Boussac Saint-Frères to get access to the Christian Dior brand and developing it into a global retail trade network.

Today, the French businessman is once again restructuring the conglomerate, making his sons Alexandre and Frédéric members of the board of directors of LVMH in order to ensure the family’s control and long-term prosperity. His daughter Delphine Arnault, the CEO of the Christian Dior label, and his sons Antoine and Jean Arnault, also participate in the process. Thus, Arnault wants to retain his family’s global luxury retail trade network leadership.

During his tenure, LVMH continues to grow as a global concern and has expanded its share of the world’s luxury goods market from about 15 to 23 percent. The company has entered the volatile modern world market with an emphasis on brand, art, and unique stores in its portfolio. The global investment strategies of the company, initiated by Arnault, have allowed it to enter the modern dynamic world market with confidence and maintain its market position by investing in new formats of interaction and distribution of goods, including strengthening its regional networks in America, Asia, and Europe. In his professional career, Arnault has demonstrated himself to be a bold businessman, head of the art of luxury goods, and a genius strategist in the field of global corporate management.
